Good Governance Day: On the 96th birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, which is marked as the good governance day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Ram Nath Kovind, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, Home Minister Amit Shah among other ministers and leaders of the ruling BJP, offered tribute to the late BJP stalwart. Every year Good Governance Day is observed in India on December 25, to mark the birth anniversary of former-Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee. Good Governance Day was established in 2014 to honor Prime Minister Vajpayee by fostering awareness among the Indian people of accountability in government. About Atal Bihari Vajpayee Born in 1924, Vajpayee was a founder member of the Jana Sangh and then the BJP, a party which rose from the margins to rule India for the first time in 1990s with him being its main face. PM To address farmers of six states: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to address nine crore farmers  as well as release the next tranche of financial aid - ₹ 18,000 crore - from the PM-Kisan scheme.
