Arvind Kejriwal's Blood Sugar Has Risen To 160, Say AAP Sources. Tihar Jail Authorities Respond

The blood pressure and sugar level of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has risen to 160 in Tihar jail.

Arvind Kejriwal News: The blood pressure and sugar level of Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has risen to 160 in Tihar jail, his health bulletin has showed, Aam Aadmi Party sources told ABP News. The sources in the Tihar jail , however, told ABP News that Delhi CM's weight is one kg more and his sugar level is also maintained.

When Arvind Kejriwal went to jail on April 1, his weight during medical examination was 65 kg and on April 7, his weight was 66 kg. Besides, the sugar level is also quite maintained and he is completely healthy.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) took Arvind Kejriwal into custody on March 21 after the high court refused to provide him protection from coercive measures by the federal anti-money laundering agency.

The case pertains to allegations of corruption and money laundering linked to the implementation of the excise policy of the Delhi government for the fiscal year 2021-22, which was subsequently scrapped.

This comes a week after, AAP leader Atishi claimed that Kejriwal has been rapidly losing weight since his arrest on March 21. She accused the BJP of putting his health at risk by keeping him in jail. She further stated that the AAP will seek legal help over the chief minister's health condition.

In a post on X, Atishi said, "Arvind Kejriwal ji is a severe diabetic. Despite health issues, he remained engaged 24 hours a day in the service of the country. Since his arrest, Kejriwal's weight has decreased by 4.5 kg. This is very worrying. The BJP is putting his health at risk by putting him in jail". If something happens to Arvind Kejriwal, not just the whole country, even God will not forgive them, she added.

On Wednesday, Kejriwal moved Supreme Court against Delhi High Court order rejecting his plea challenging his arrest in Delhi's excise policy irregularities case by the Enforcement Directorate (ED). The court on Tuesday rejected a petition moved by the AAP National convenor challenging his arrest by ED on allegations of money laundering in connection to the now scrapped Delhi Liquor Policy.

The court said the probe agency was able to show enough documents including the statements of Hawala dealers which shows that money was sent in Goa elections.
