'Any Financial Help To Pakistan Is Same As Terror Funding': Rajnath Singh On IMF's $1-Billion Aid

Rajnath Singh, at Bhuj Air Force Station, emphasized India's resolve against terrorism, praised Operation Sindoor, and warned Pakistan of strict repercussions if provocations continue.

Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, addressing Indian Air Force personnel at the Bhuj Air Force Station, underscored India's unwavering stance against terrorism in a forceful speech on Thursday. The address came in the wake of recent hostilities, including a coordinated drone and missile strike by Pakistan, targeting over a dozen Indian military installations across the Northern and Western theatres.

Singh, reflecting on India's robust response, noted, "Now, the fight against terrorism is not just a matter of security, but it is now also a part of the National Defence Doctrine. Together we will uproot this proxy and hybrid warfare." Drawing a powerful parallel, he invoked the resolve of Lord Ram, saying, "We are going ahead by following Lord Ram where he resolved to finish demonic powers – 'Nishichar Heen Karaun Mahi Bhuj Uthai Pan Keenh' – it means that the manner in which Lord Ram raised his arms and resolved to make this world demon-free, similarly, following the principles of Lord Ram, we have resolved to uproot terrorism."

Singh's visit to Bhuj followed a trip to Jammu and Kashmir, where he reviewed the overall security situation along the Line of Control and International Border. "Only yesterday, I met our brave Army personnel in Srinagar. Today, I am meeting the air warriors here... I feel the enthusiasm on seeing the high josh and energy on both fronts," he said, lauding the morale of the armed forces.

Reflecting on the recent Operation Sindoor, Singh remarked, "Whatever you did during #OperationSindoor, has made all Indians proud – whether they are in India or abroad. Just 23 minutes were enough for the Indian Air Force to crush terrorism being nurtured in Pakistan." He further praised the Air Force's swift and precise strikes, stating, "The duration people take to have breakfast, you used that duration to deal with enemies... Its echo did not remain restricted just to the borders of India, the entire world heard it."

Operation Sindoor, conducted in response to the 22 April Pahalgam attack by the Pakistan-based terrorist group "The Resistance Front" (TRF), targeted nine terrorist camps within Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. The strikes were precise, avoiding military targets, and aimed solely at dismantling the infrastructure supporting terror. However, Pakistan responded with escalated missile and drone strikes, which were effectively countered by India's Integrated Counter-drone Grid and layered Air Defence systems.

In a stark message, Singh added, "We have kept Pakistan on probation. If its behavior improves, then okay, otherwise, it will be given strictest punishment." He concluded by asserting India's readiness to act decisively if provoked again, saying, "#OperationSindoor is not over yet... When the right time comes, we will show the full picture to the world."
