Congress Fielded Lawyers Against Construction Of Ram Temple, Fight Cases Of Terrorists: Anurag Thakur
Union Minister Anurag Thakur alleged during the Bilaspur rally that the Congress party deployed a group of lawyers to obstruct the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Ahead of the fifth phase of polling for the Lok Sabha election, Union Minister Anurag Thakur lashed out at the Congress party during a public rally in Chhatisgarh's Bilaspur district saying that it deployed a group of lawyers to obstruct the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Thakur also criticised the I.N.D.I.A bloc, and claimed that members of the opposition alliance had employed lawyers who defended terrorists like Ajmal Kasab and Dawood Ibrahim in the Rajya Sabha.
"What kind of character is this of the Congress and the opposition parties...they fielded a battery of lawyers against the construction of Ram temple and at the same time they sent lawyers to fight cases of the terrorists," he said, PTI reported.
"These are the same people who knocked on the door of the court at 2:30 in the night to stop Afzal Guru's hanging," the senior BJP leader highlighted.
'Congress Giving Slogans To Divide Country:' Thakur
He further outlined that PM Narendra Modi is occupied with securing the borders of the country, whereas Congress leaders are giving slogans to divide the country into pieces, he underscored.
Thakur highlighted that PM Modi views Himachal as his second home and has awarded the state large-scale projects valued at thousands of crores of rupees.
He also stated that Modi is currently the choice of the entire nation, including Himachal. "If you go to any corner of the country, people are saying 'My Choice Modi'. After four phases, it has become clear that the public has cast their vote for a stable and honest government -- the Modi government," he said.
He mentioned that Modi will take over as prime minister for a third time, with an official announcement expected on June 4.
