Angered By Power Cut, Man Makes Bomb Threat Call At Maha Dy CM Fadnavis' Residence
Around 2 am on Tuesday, the Nagpur police control room received a call from a man claiming that a bomb had been planted outside Fadnavis’ house.
A 30-year-old man allegedly made a hoax call of planting a bomb at Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’ house in Maharashtra’s Nagpur on Tuesday, reported news agency PTI. The man, who was traced to Kanhan town, around 30 km from the city was detained by the police, said, city police chief Amitesh Kumar.
Around 2 am on Tuesday, the Nagpur police control room received a call from a man claiming that a bomb had been planted outside Fadnavis’ house. The caller did not identify his name and immediately disconnected the call, said the Police Commissioner.
"We received a call threatening to place a bomb in front of the house of Deputy CM Devendra Fadnavis in Nagpur, but the investigation has revealed that this is a fake call. The person who had called last night has been taken into custody and is under interrogation" said Amitesh Kumar, Police Commissioner, Nagpur while speaking to the media.

Soon after receiving the call, a police team with a bomb detection and disposal squad (BDDS) and dog squad were rushed to the deputy chief minister's house near Trikoni Park in Dharampeth. The team carried out a thorough check of the premises, but no explosives were found, said the the senior official, according to PTI.
Fadnavis and his family were not staying at their house and were in Mumbai when the hoax call was made to the Nagpur police.
The caller was allegedly facing power cut at his house and had made the hoax call in a fit of rage to mislead the police, Kumar said.
The accused has been taken into custody and is under interrogation.
