Tragic! Woman From Andhra Pradesh Dies After Attempting To Take A Selfie Near A Waterfall In The US
A young woman from Andhra Pradesh lost her life while attempting to take a selfie near a waterfall in America.
New Delhi: In a tragic incident, a young woman from Andhra Pradesh died in America while taking a selfie. Identified as Kamala Polavarapu, the 27-year- old had recently moved to the US after completing her higher studies and was working as a software engineer.
According to a report by local media WBIR, Kamala and her fiancé were at Bald River waterfalls in the US on Sunday. They both were attempting to take a selfie when they slipped and fell. While the bystanders were able to rescue her fiancé they couldn’t find Kamala as she was carried away by the force of the water. Kamala and her fiancé were standing on top of the waterfall before they slipped. She was found 30-40 minutes later under a log by the bystanders who then proceeded to give her CPR until the first responders arrived.

The report said that Kamala was residing at Mayfield Heights, Ohio. She was shifted to the Sweetwater hospital for treatment where she was pronounced dead. The news report also said that the Chief Deputy of Monroe County Chris White said the incident appeared to be accidental.
According to other media reports, Kamala was a native of Gudlavalleru Village in Krishna district of Andhra Pradesh. She was an engineering graduate who moved to the US to pursue MS. She later joined a company. Family members and North America Telugu Society (NATS) is making efforts to send her mortal remains to India for final rites.
