'Govt Not Stopping Paper Leaks Because...': Akhilesh Yadav Tears Into Centre Over NEET Row, Agniveer Scheme

The NEET paper leak has ignited widespread criticism against the BJP-led NDA government, with Opposition leader Akhilesh Yadav accusing the government of promoting an 'education mafia'.

As the NEET paper leak issue rages in the country, the Opposition is up in arms against the BJP-led NDA government. The issue has gained momentum in Lok Sabha, with Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi and leader of the second-largest Opposition party, Samajwadi Party, Akhilesh Yadav tearing into the government over the issue.

Speaking on the paper leaks issue in Lok Sabha, Samajwadi Party MP Akhilesh Yadav said that the government was not taking any steps because it did not want to provide jobs to the youth as the BJP-led NDA had promised before the elections. He said," Why are paper leaks happening? The truth is that this is being done by the government so that it doesn’t have to give jobs to youth."

"The achievement of the last 10 years of this government has been that an education mafia has been born. When will those who show dreams of the next thousand years guarantee the fairness of the examination to be held next month," Akhilesh Yadav asked the treasury bench.

He further said that President Droupadi Murmu's address to the joint sitting of the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha failed to feature the concerns of the Opposition and the youth of the nation regarding the Agniveer scheme. "The Opposition and the youth are concerned about Agniveer. There was no answer to this in the President's address. We cannot accept the system of the Agniveer scheme. When we come to power, we will end the Agniveer system," he said.

Speaking about a purported lack of employment, Akhilesh Yadav said: "There is no hope of job or employment in your rule. You have made even the small businessman so small that he can neither feed himself nor give a job to anyone."

He also alleged that under the guise of "lateral entry" in government jobs, "some special people are being given posts". "This government has played so much with reservation; no one would have done that. Next time the President's address should not be a government speech," Akhilesh Yadav said.
