Agnipath Notification 2022: Army Releases Notification For Agniveer Recruitment. See Navy, Air Force Dates

The Agnipath notification 2022 for the Indian Navy would be released on Tuesday and notification for the Indian Air Force would be released on Thursday.

New Delhi: Even as protests continue across the nation against the Central government’s Agnipath scheme, the Indian Army on Monday released the notification date for Agniveer recruitment.

The Agnipath notification 2022 for the Indian Navy would be released on Tuesday and notification for the Indian Air Force would be released on Thursday.

“#Agniveer aspirants, get ready! Notification dates for recruitments under #AgnipathScheme Indian Army @adgpi - June 20, 2022. Indian Navy @indiannavy - June 21, 2022. Indian Air Force @IAF_MCC - June 24, 2022,” the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting tweeted.

Enrolment:

  • Candidates will be enrolled under Army Act, 1950, for a service duration of four years, including the training period.
  • Agniveers so enrolled will be subject to Army Act, 1950, and will be liable to go wherever ordered, by land, sea or air.
  • Agniveers so enrolled under the scheme will not be eligible for any kind of pension or gratuity.
  •  

Service:

  • Service of Agniveers will commence from the date of enrolment.
  • Agniveers would form a distinct rank in the Indian Army, different from any other existing ranks.
  • Leave, uniform, pay and allowances during the service period of four years will be governed by orders and instructions in respect of such individuals issued by the Government of India from time to time.
  • Agniveers will be liable to be assigned any duty in organisational interest, as decided from time to time.
  • Personnel enrolled through Agniveer Scheme will be required to undergo periodical medical check-ups and physical/ written/ field tests as governed by orders issued. The performance so demonstrated would be considered for subsequent offer for enrolment in the regular cadre.
  • Agniveers can be posted to any regiment/unit and can be further transferred in organisational interest.

Enrolment for regular cadre:

  • Based on organisational requirements and policies promulgated, Agniveers who are completing their engagement period in each batch will be offered an opportunity to apply for enrolment in the regular cadre of the Indian Army.
  • These applications will be considered in a centralized manner by the Army based on an objective criteria, including performance during their engagement period and not more than 25% of each specific batch of Agniveers will be enrolled in regular cadre of the Indian Army, post completion of their four year engagement period.
  • Agniveers so enrolled as regular cadre would be required to serve for a further engagement period of 15 years and will be governed by terms and conditions of service (of Junior Commissioned Officer/ Other Ranks in the Indian Army) currently in vogue (as amended from time to time).
  • Agniveers will not have any right to be selected. The selection will be exclusive jurisdiction of the Indian Army.

Eligibility:

  • Age Limit - The age limit for the applicants will be from 17-and-half years to 21 years. The first day of the month of October of recruiting year (April 1 – March 31) will be taken as effective date for determining the age eligibility for the candidates. The recruitment will be on All India All Class basis.
  • Gender and Marital Status - As applicable to respective categories/ trades being enrolled as on date for the Indian Army.
  • Medical Standards - A candidate must meet the medical eligibility conditions laid down for enrolment in the Indian Army as applicable to respective categories/ trades.
