'Ab Kaise Aage Chalti Hai Gaadi': Kamal Nath On Scindia Getting Union Cabinet Berth

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath congratulated Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia.

Former Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath congratulated Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia on getting a place in the Modi cabinet. It was awaited after Jyotiraditya Scindia, last year, another stalwart from the same state changed camps from Congress to BJP.

Kamal Nath said getting a Cabinet berth is a matter between Scindia and the BJP. "May they (BJP and Scindia) always be together and happy," he added. Referring to the future of the leader Kamal Nath took a sly dig as he exclaimed: "Ab kaise aage chalti hai gaadi wo dekha jayega" (It is now to be seen how the combination moves forward).

Recently, Prime Minister Narendra Modi expanded the union cabinet in which Jyotiraditya Scindia got the Civil Aviation Ministry. Scindia has been instrumental in bringing back the Shivraj Singh Chouhan-led BJP government after 15 months in Madhya Pradesh, toppling the Kamal Nath-led Congress government in March last year.

Meanwhile, on Friday, Congress State President Kamal Nath reached Raj Bhavan to meet the new Governor Mangubhai Patel. He apprised the Governor about the situation in the state from the perspective of Congress. He said that the people of the SC-ST category are not safe in Madhya Pradesh and they should get justice.

"I have vast experience of working in tribal areas. I have apprised the Governor that there is a large population belonging to the SC/ST category in the state than anywhere else in the country. Here they are not safe. I apprised the Governor that every section of the state is troubled. The farmer is upset, the small businessman is upset, the youth is unemployed, and unemployment is on the rise. Our economy is in shambles," Kamal Nath informed the media persons.
