AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan Sent To Four-Day ACB Custody In Delhi Waqf Board Corruption Case
AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was arrested by the ACB on Friday.
New Delhi: A special CBI court at Rouse Avenue granted four-day custody to Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) for questioning AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan in a corruption case related to alleged misappropriation of Waqf Board funds, news agency ANI reported.
AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan was arrested by the ACB on Friday.
It is to be noted that his arrest came after the ACB raided Amanatullah Khan's residence and five other places in connection with the investigation.
The ACB officials searched the homes of AAP MLA Amanatullah Khan and his business partner, Hamid Ali Khan Masood Usman. During the raid, officials discovered two pistol and several ammunition, as well as Rs 24 lakh in cash, from two of his associates, news agency ANI reported.

Meanwhile, after the arrest of his close aide Hamid Ali Khan, he said that the AAP MLA stored guns and money in his home and that all the transactions were carried out as per his directions.
As per reports, Khan was summoned by the ACB in connection to a case involving suspected financial misappropriation and other irregularities in the operation of the Delhi Waqf Board, which Khan leads as its chairman.
An FIR has also been lodged in relation to the alleged corruption in the board.
In a statement released on Friday, the ACB said that Khan had illegally hired 32 persons while acting as the chairman of the Delhi Waqf Board. This was done in defiance of all norms and guidelines of the government. Allegedly he was also engaged in corruption and favouritism.
