“We will pass a law making it mandatory for private industries to employ 80 percent of workers from local people,” he added addressing a press conference at Mapusa, around 16 km away from Panaji.

The AAP national convenor said that his party would also provide an unemployment allowance of Rs 3,000 per month till they find the job.

Kejriwal added that a remuneration of Rs 5,000 would be provided to the families’ dependent upon the mining and tourism industry till these sectors are normalized.

“Skills University would be set up in the state like in Delhi where youth would be imparted training to make them employment-ready,” he said, UNI reported.

Kejriwal further said only the deserving candidates would get state government jobs if the AAP came to power in Goa.

The AAP chief also used the occasion to take a jibe at Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant for starting a door-step delivery of services and alleged “he is copying what was being done in Delhi”.

“As per our scheme, the government officers go to the doorstep of the people with the required facilities. The people don't have to move out of their homes,” Kejriwal said.
