'Tribute To All Greats Who Made Our Constitution': PM Modi Extends Wishes On 76th Republic Day

Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated the countrymen for 75 years of being a Republic. He said that on the occasion "we pay our tribute to all those great personalities who made our Constitution".

PM Modi took to X, and wrote in a post, "Wishing you a very Happy Republic Day! Today we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of our glorious republic. On this occasion, we pay our tribute to all those great personalities who made our Constitution and ensured that our development journey is based on democracy, dignity and unity. It is our hope that this national celebration will preserve the values ​​of our Constitution and further strengthen our efforts towards building a strong and prosperous India."

Union Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh also took to X, and wrote, "Greetings and warm wishes to the citizens of India on the occasion of 76th #RepublicDay. Union Home Minister Amit Shah also greet people on completing 75 years as a Republic, "Heartiest greetings of Republic Day to all the countrymen. In a message, he wrote, "We bow in reverence to Mahatma Gandhi, Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, Sardar Patel, Babasaheb Dr BR Ambedkar, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Dr Rajendra Prasad, Maulana Azad, Sarojini Naidu and many others who tirelessly contributed to the shaping of our great republic. This year’s celebrations will highlight 75 years of the Constitution's enactment and emphasise Jan Bhagidari (people’s participation). The event will showcase India’s rich cultural diversity, unity, equality, development, and military strength. Prabowo Subianto, President of the Republic of Indonesia will be the Chief Guest of the celebrations.
