Bomb Threat At Jammu & Kashmir Republic Day Parade Venue Has Cops On High Alert

Jammu police received a bomb threat via email targeting Republic Day celebrations at MAM Stadium where official event is scheduled to be held.

A bomb threat was received by Jammu police ahead of the Repubilc Day celebrations in the city.

The Jammu police received a bomb threat on Sunday via email threatening the presence of explosives at the venue where the official Republic Day celebrations are scheduled to be held in the Union Territory.

The mail threatened the presence of a bomb at MAM Stadium where the main programme will be held with Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha and Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in presence. 

After receiving the bomb threat, the entire stadium was searched and security agencies cleared the entire stadium.

A Pakistani national has been arrested in connection with the matter from Salotri area in Poonch sector. The suspect has been arrested from the international border along Pakistan and is being questioned.
