'40% Corruption In Karnataka, 100% In Maharashtra': Sanjay Raut Slams Eknath Shinde-Led Govt After MVA Meet

MVA leaders Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Opposition leader Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil, Nana Patole, and others took part in the meeting at NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's residence in Mumbai.

New Delhi: Slamming the Eknath Shinde-led Maharashtra government, Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut on Sunday said the recent Supreme Court verdict on the Maharashtra political crisis was in MVA’s favour and the current government will be defeated soon.

Speaking to mediapersons after the key meeting of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) at NCP supremo Sharad Pawar's residence in Mumbai, Raut, as quoted by news agency ANI, said, “There is no misunderstanding internally in the party (MVA). If there was 40% corruption in Karnataka, there is 100% corruption in Maharashtra, this current government is corrupt and it will get defeated.”

According to reports, MVA leaders and former Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray, Sanjay Raut, Opposition leader Ajit Pawar, Jayant Patil, Nana Patole, Ashok Chavan, and Balasaheb Thorat, took part in the meeting.

“The people of Karnataka elected Congress. This shows that they are against Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah. In Maharashtra too, a corrupt government is in power, so in the upcoming elections, we will win Maharashtra too,” state Congress chief Nana Patole said.

“Whoever becomes the Chief Minister of Karnataka, we will facilitate him in our 'Vajramuth' rally that will be held in Pune,” he added.

Earlier in the day, Raut had said the MVA meeting would be held to discuss next year’s Lok Sabha elections.

“The Modi wave is over and now our wave is coming across the country. Our preparation for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections has started and today a meeting has been called under the chairmanship of Sharad Pawar, we will discuss the 2024 elections in this meeting and start preparing for it,” Raut said, as quoted by ANI.

“Karnataka has shown that people can defeat dictatorship. Congress won which means Bajrang Bali is with Congress and not BJP. Our Home Minister (Amit Shah) was saying that if BJP loses, there will be riots. Karnataka is calm and happy. Where are the riots,” he said.
