'30 Seconds After Take-Off...': Passenger On 11A Survives Air India Crash, Video Shows Him Walking Out Of Plane
An Air India flight bound for London's Gatwick airport with 242 people, took off at 1:39 PM on Thursday. However, it crashed within minutes, and burst into flames.

A 40-year-old Vishwash Kumar Ramesh, who was among the 242 people onboard the Air India flight that crashed just minutes after take off in Ahmedabad today, has miraculously survived the deadly crash. Ramesh, who was seated in the 11A seat on the flight, is currently admitted to the Civil Hospital in Aswara, Ahmedabad where he is being trated for “impact injuries” on his chest, eyes and feet.
"Thirty seconds after take-off, there was a loud noise and then the plane crashed. It all happened so quickly," Ramesh told the Hindustan Times.

According to Air India, the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner had 169 Indian nationals, 53 British nationals, seven Portuguese, and one Canadian.
"When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me," he told HT.
A video that is believed to taken just moments after the crash shows Ramesh walking towards an ambulance as bystanders question him about others on the plane. His injuries are visible in the video.

According to a report by HT, Ramesh is a British national and was in India for a few days to visit his family. He was returning to the UK along with his brother, Ajay Kumar Ramesh (45).
"When I got up, there were bodies all around me. I was scared. I stood up and ran. There were pieces of the plane all around me. Someone grabbed hold of me and put me in an ambulance and brought me to the hospital," he added.
He said he had lived in London for the past 20 years, and that his wife and child too live in London with him. His brother Ajay was also in the same plane, but in a different row. "We visited Diu. He was travelling with me and I can’t find him anymore. Please help me find him,” he said.
Ahmedabad Police Commissioner GS Malik also confirmed that one passenger survived in the Air India plane crash, news agency ANI reported.
"The police found one survivor in seat 11A. One survivor has been found in the hospital and is under treatment. Cannot say anything about the number of deaths yet. The death toll may increase as the flight crashed in a residential area," Malik said.
