3% Divorces In Mumbai Happen Due To Traffic Congestion, Says Amruta Fadnavis Attacking Maha Govt

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi took to Twitter to take a jibe at Fadnavis' comment, calling it “Best (il)logic of the day.”

New Delhi: BJP leader and Maharashtra’s former CM Devendra Fadnavis’ wife Amruta Fadmavis attacked the ruling Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) government of Maharashtra on Friday during an event in Mumbai.

Amruta Fadnavis said that as a common citizen of the state she has to face many issues when she steps out that include potholes on roads and traffic. She further added that due to traffic people are not able to give time to their families which results in broken families.

She added that three percent of divorces are happening in Mumbai due to these reasons. “I'm saying this as a common citizen. Once I go out I see several issues including potholes, traffic. Due to traffic, people are unable to give time to their families & 3% divorces in Mumbai are happening due to it,” she said.

Fadnavis was speaking at an event in Mumbai where she was asked about the roads, responding to which she linked divorces to bad roads in the city.

To Her comment, Mumbai Mayor Kishori Pednekar responded in a sarcastic manner saying that people associated with BJP keep making comments like these, and now even the people are fed up with such comments.

Meanwhile, Shiv Sena leader Priyanka Chaturvedi took to Twitter to take a jibe at Fadnavis' comment, calling it “Best (il)logic of the day.”

Chaturvedi tweeted, “Best (il)logic of the day award goes to the lady who claims 3% Mumbaikars are divorcing due to traffic on roads. Please take a holiday break rather than having a mind on brake.. Bengaluru families please avoid reading this , can prove fatal for your marriages.”
