2 minors charred to death after fire breaks out in Delhi's Shaheen Bagh area

Two minors were feared dead after a fire broke out in a four-storey building in South Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area on Tuesday.
The fire was called in at 1.06 pm. Two children who were rescued from the fire and rushed to the nearby Holy Family hospital were declared brought dead.
New Delhi: Two minors were charred to death after a fire broke out in a four-storey building in South Delhi’s Shaheen Bagh area on Tuesday. Six fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flame.. The fire was called in at 1.06 pm. Two children who were rescued from the fire and rushed to the nearby Holy Family hospital were declared brought dead. The two children have been identified as Zaid and Aisha. A few days back a massive fire had broken out due to a cylinder blast in a building on Karawal road in Monga Nagar. On March 24, a fire had broken out on the ground floor of the AIIMS Trauma Centre near the operation theatre area on Sunday, which triggered panic among people, including patients. No casualty was reported in the incident, AIIMS authorities had said. The fire was brought under control by 8 pm and the cooling process is underway, Chief Fire officer Atul Garg said. AIIMS administration had instituted an inquiry into the matter to identify the cause of the fire, which is suspected to be due to a short circuit. According to a source at the hospital, two patients in separate operation theatres (OTs) had undergone surgeries just half an before the fire broke out and were at the OT recovery rooms.
