Hyundai Grand i10 CNG Launched At Rs 6.39 Lakh
Priced at a premium of Rs 67,000 over its respective petrol counterpart, the CNG Grand i10 is only available in the Magna variant
Hyundai India has launched a CNG version of the Grand i10, which will only be available in the Magna variant. It is priced at Rs 6.39 lakh (solid) and Rs 6.43 lakh (metallic) (both prices ex-showroom Delhi), which is a premium of Rs 67,000 over the Magna petrol variant. Powering the Grand i10 CNG variant is still the 1.2-litre, four-cylinder petrol engine which produces 66PS/98Nm here, unlike the 82PS/110Nm output on petrol. The 5-speed manual gearbox remains unchanged.
As expected, the features on the Hyundai Grand i10 Magna CNG are same as its petrol counterpart. It features ABS with EBD, dual front airbags, impact-sensing auto unlock, day/night IRVM and central locking. Convenience features include all power windows, manual AC with rear vents, front and rear power outlets and a 2-DIN audio system with Bluetooth, AUX-in and USB connectivity along with steering mounted audio controls.
Hyundai also sells the Grand i10 and Xcent Prime with CNG power, but these are only available for commercial buyers. However, for private buyers, Hyundai also offers the Santro CNG which is priced at Rs 5.25 lakh for the Magna and Rs 5.65 lakh (both prices ex-showroom Delhi) for the Sportz variant. The Santro’s Sportz variant is better equipped than the Grand i10 Magna with features like a touchscreen with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and more.
The Hyundai Grand i10 rivals the Maruti Swift which misses out on CNG, while the Ford Figo is expected to soon get a CNG option just like the Aspire. The Hyundai Grand i10 is also expected to enter a new generation this year.
