Hero first introduced the i3S start stop system in their Splendor range of motorcycles. They have now retrofitted this patented technology into the Destini 125. In motorcycles, the technology switches of the engine when the bike is standstill and starts it when the clutch lever is pulled. In scooters, the engine switches off when the throttle position is left in closed position for five seconds. To start it you press the brake and accelerate a bit. This system is to save fuel in stop and go traffic.
