Harley-Davidson Street To Softail Exchange Offer Will Blow Your Mind
The Milwaukee based leisure motorcycle manufacturer is offering a 100% buyback on Street 750 or Street Rod if less than 12 months old and 75% on bikes up to 2 years old.
This exciting offer is applicable for all owners of its entry-level Street 750 and Street Rod motorcycle who fancy upgrading to the 2018 Softail range. Just to be clear, Harley-Davidson will offer the buyback on both models and trade it in based on the ex-showroom price of the motorcycle. Essentially, all customers have to pay the price difference between the Street 750/Street Rod and their intended purchase of any Harley Softail.
By the same token, as part of the exchange offer, the firm will also provide a 75% refund on both models which date back to 2016. In addition to this, Harley-Davidson India will also roll out special schemes on its Softail models purchased via the exchange. A win-win situation for all prospective Softail buyers.
At present, Harley-Davidson offers a total of six Softail motorcycles in India which comprise of the Street Bob, Low Rider, Fat Bob, Fat Boy, Deluxe and Heritage Classic. The most affordable one being the Street Bob (Rs 12.59 lakh) which the most expensive one is the Heritage Classic (Rs 19.71 lakh); all prices, ex-showroom India. The entire Softail range is powered by Harley’s Milwaukee-Eight 107 (1,745cc) engine which puts out a peak torque output of 144Nm at revs as low as 3,000 rpm.
As for future plans, Harley recently announced its ‘More Roads to Harley Davidson’ growth strategy through 2022. According to this, the bikemaker will target developing countries which includes India and team up with an Asian manufacturer to roll out a new breed of products. The lineup will consist of 250-500cc motorcycles ranging from an adventure tourer, street naked to an electric bike, with additional models following suit through 2022. Its safe to say that Harley-Davidson has big plans for the future and the trade-in offer is just the beginning.
