A lot of our flagship features are borrowed into A series but these are not priced at flagship prices," Samsung India Senior Vice President Asim Warsi said. The Galaxy A 7 comes with a 5.7 inch display with 3,600mAh battery priced at Rs 33,490, while the Galaxy A 5 with a 5.2 inch display and 3,000mAh battery priced at Rs 28,990, the company said. Samsung's smartphone value market share in India increased from 41 per cent in 2015 to 46.3 per cent in 2016. "Over the last two years we have only gained and consolidated our leadership and market share in the country. Between the fourth quarter of 2014 and fourth quarter of 2016, we have gained over eight percentage share points," Warsi said. The South Korean company has been manufacturing products suited to Indian consumers and Warsi said a lot of features in the devices in the country are not ported into the devices selling anywhere else in the world.
