Facebook To Launch 'Manage Activity' Tool To Let Users Archive, Bulk Delete Posts
Social media giant Facebook is going to launch a new feature to bring the options of archiving and bulk-deleting posts.
New Delhi: Facebook has announced the launch of a new feature called 'Manage Activity' to enable users to archive or bulk delete their posts.
Facebook-owned Instagram already offers the archive option with which users can hide certain posts from public view while still retaining them in the archive tab.
Facebook will now offer the same option.
"For example, you could archive a post you made when you were in high school that you still find amusing but that you'd rather not be seen by anyone else on Facebook," the social networking giant said in a statement.
The Manage Activity feature will first appear on the mobile application and then a later point it will be available on desktop and Facebook Lite.
Manage Activity also lets users move posts to trash, where they will stay for 30 days before getting permanently deleted, much like the option available on smartphones.
"Posts sent to the trash will stay there for 30 days before being deleted unless you choose to manually delete or restore them before then," Facebook added.
The feature will also help people look at and manage posts in bulk.
"We've also developed filters to help you sort and find what you're looking for, like posts with specific people or from a specific date range," said the company.
The social media giant revealed that it will continue bringing new options in the Manage Activity feature for people to review their posts in a single space.
