The new Ford Figo has been launched with a starting price of Rs 5.15 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). In its facelifted iteration, the Figo has received mild cosmetic changes, feature updates and new petrol engines. Here’s how it stacks up against the outgoing model that was introduced in 2015: Design The 2019 Ford Figo gets an updated front bumper with revised headlights and a new mesh grille. When seen from the side, the new Figo is near-identical to the pre-facelift model. But it can be identified by the new 14-inch wheels. Only the top-spec Titanium Blu variant gets 15-inch all-black alloys. Around the back, the new Figo only gets a revised rear bumper design. That makes it harder to differentiate it from the pre-facelift model from that angle. However, the top-spec Titanium Blu variant’s decals make it stand out. The central dock of the new Figo houses a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Interiors & Features Underneath the infotainment unit, the auto AC controls and the centre console appear unchanged. Inside the cabin of the Titanium Blu variant, the Figo comes with all-black upholstery and blue stitching. The door handles also get blue accents. Engine & Transmission In its latest iteration, the 2019 Figo gets two new 3-cylinder petrol engines. The main petrol option is the 1.2-litre unit mated to a 5-speed manual and produces 96PS and 120Nm. The new petrol-automatic option on the 2019 Figo is more powerful than the outgoing 1.5-litre engine that was paired to a 6-speed dual-clutch transmission. The new 1.5-litre engine is mated to a 6-speed torque convertor and produces 123PS and 150Nm, that’s 11PS and 14Nm more. Ford has decided to retain the same 1.5-litre diesel engine that is mated to a 5-speed manual with the facelift model. It continues to produce 100PS and 215Nm. Launch & Prices The Figo facelift has been launched with prices starting from Rs 5.15 lakh for the petrol variants and Rs 5.95 lakh for the diesel variants (all prices, ex-showroom Delhi).
