Feature-Packed Kia Seltos GT-Line Diesel & Petrol Automatic Prices To Be Revealed Soon

Bookings for the Seltos are underway, but Kia is yet to announce the prices of the top-end petrol and diesel automatic variants

The Seltos has been launched in India with introductory prices ranging from Rs 9.69 lakh to 15.99 lakh (ex-showroom India), but the prices of some variants are yet to be revealed. Let’s take a look at these two variants. Available in two trims: Tech-Line (orange) and GT-Line (white) - the Seltos offers 18 sub-variants and three powertrain options. The Tech-Line gets five variants, including HTE, HTK, HTK+, HTX and HTX+. The GT-Line, on the other hand, gets three variants: GTK, GTX and GTX+. Both the Tech-Line and GT-Line trims get Kia’s 1.5-litre diesel engine, while there are two different petrol options. The Tech-Line comes with a 1.5-litre naturally-aspirated petrol engine, whereas the GT-Line gets a 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine. The three engines on offer get different automatic transmissions too. The diesel engine is mated to a 6-speed torque converter, while the 1.5-litre petrol gets a CVT. On the other hand, the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol is paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic. Kis is yet to reveal the prices of the top-end GTX+ 1.4-litre DCT and diesel-auto variants. For now, the most feature loaded GTX+ variant is only available with the 1.4-litre turbo-petrol engine and a manual gearbox. While the prices remain unannounced, dealers are already taking bookings for the same. The current introductory prices of the GT-Line variants are as follows: Feature-Packed Kia Seltos GT-Line Diesel & Petrol Automatic Prices To Be Revealed Soon Both variants are expected to be launched in the coming weeks with an expected price tag of Rs 16.99 lakh. These range-topping variants of the Seltos will put it atop its compact SUV rivals in terms of pricing, including the most expensive variant of the Creta that is priced at Rs 15.67 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The GTX+ diesel-auto could take on the likes of mid-size SUVs like the MG Hector and Tata Harrier as they do not offer such a varied powertrain option yet. The GTX+ Petrol (DCT) variant will be a direct rival to the Hector’s top-spec petrol-auto variant which carries a price tag of Rs 16.78 lakh (ex-showroom India). However, you can get your own Kia Seltos before 2020, which won’t be the case with the MG Hector if you book one now.
