"Centre's responsibility is to establish brotherhood, but BJP spreading communal poison in country. Farmers have been protesting for 100 days, PM has time to go to Kolkata, rally against West Bengal govt, but no time to visit farmers in Delhi," Pawar said.

The NCP supremo further in his address alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is spreading "communal poison" in the country.

His remarks against moments before Prime Minister addressed massive public gathering at Kolkata's Brigade parade ground ahead of the state's Assembly elections.

Meanwhile, thousands of farmers from Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradsh continue to camp across Delhi borders holding protests against the three farm bills enacted by the Centre last year. Though the centre and farmers' unions have held several rounds of negotiations yet the matter remains inconclusive till date.
