The cumulative COVID-19 vaccine doses administered in the country crossed 162.77 crore on Monday, the Union Health Ministry said.
More than 49 lakh (49,52,290) vaccine doses have been administered till 7 pm, taking the total number of doses to 1,62,77,06,092.
More than 87 lakh (87,33,359) precaution doses have been administered to healthcare workers, frontline workers and those aged 60 and above with comorbidities.
Also 4,25,44,326 adolescents in the 15-18 years age group have received the first dose.
Fresh Coronavirus cases in Delhi continued to decline further as the national capital on Monday reported 5,760 new COVID cases and 30 deaths, while the positivity rate dropped to 11.79 per cent.
Delhi had on Sunday reported 9,197 COVID cases and 34 deaths with a positivity rate of 13.32 per cent.
The number of daily cases in the national capital has been declining after touching the record high of 28,867 on January 13. In 10 days, the cases have dropped below the 10,000-mark.
Delhi on Saturday recorded 45 deaths due to Coronavirus, the highest since June 5, as well as 11,486 cases with a positivity rate of 16.36 per cent.
On Friday, the city logged 10,756 cases with a positivity rate of 18.04 per cent and 38 deaths.
As many as 543 people have succumbed to COVID in the national capital so far in January.
Meanwhile, Maharashtra on Monday recorded 28,286 coronavirus cases, 12,519 less than the previous day, and 36 fresh deaths, including 17 in the Mumbai region, linked to the infection, the state health department said.
On Sunday, the state had recorded 40,805 new cases and 44 fatalities.
With the latest additions, the overall tally of COVID-19 cases in Maharashtra surged to 75,35,511 and the death toll jumped to 1,42,151, a department bulletin said.
Maharashtra's case fatality rate now stands at 1.88 per cent. The recovery rate is 94.09 per cent.
As per the bulletin, the number of recovered cases in Maharashtra increased to 70,89,936 after 21,941 patients were discharged during the day, leaving the state with 2,99,604 active cases.
Also, 86 new cases of the highly contagious Omicron variant of coronavirus came to light during the day, raising the tally of such infections in Maharashtra to 2,845.
Kerala, which has been registering over 45,000 daily new COID-19 cases for the past few days, on Monday recorded 26,514 fresh positive cases taking the total affected in the state to 56,46,665.
The State reported 45,449 cases on Sunday while on Saturday, the state had recorded 45,136 new cases. On January 20, Kerala had registered 46,387 cases, the highest single-day spike since the outbreak of the pandemic in 2020.

'Coronavirus Situation Is Under Control,' Says Kerala Health Minister
"Corona situation is under control, the number of hospitalized patients is not increasing so there is no panic situation," said Veena George, Kerala Health Minister on Tuesday.
