Go First Extends Cancellation Of Its Scheduled Flights Till July 16

Cash-strapped Go First, an Indian airline, stated on Thursday that it will continue to cancel all of its scheduled flights through July 16. The airline, which is going through an insolvency resolution procedure, ceased operations on May 3 and has since repeatedly prolonged the cancellation of flights.

It had earlier suspended all flights till July 10.

In an issued statement, the airlines said, "We regret to inform that due to operational reasons, Go First flights scheduled till July 16 2023 have been cancelled. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the flight cancellation."

The company has requested a speedy settlement and the resumption of activities. In the past, the airline had also been the subject of a special audit by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA). The airline has provided the regulator with a resurrection plan.

The DGCA informed the Delhi High Court on Wednesday that they had reacted to Go First's Resolution Professional (RP), pointing up the errors in the special audit report of the revived airline's plan.

Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Sanjeev Narula's division bench requested information from DGCA attorney Anjana Gosain on how long it will take the airline to begin operations.

Arvind Kejriwal, the chief minister, reported at the meeting that more than 20,000 people had already been relocated to relief camps. 50 boats are present, and more will be sent out if necessary.

“All schools, colleges, and universities are being closed till Sunday,” says Kejriwal, reported by PTI.
