BMW X7 Launched India At Rs 98.90 Lakh

BMW’s biggest SUV till date gets air suspension on both axles for a plusher ride

Having first revealed the X7 in 2018, BMW took its own sweet time to bring it to the Indian market. However, the German carmaker’s biggest SUV till date is finally here and it is available in two variants - xDrive30d and xDrive40i - in India. While the former will be assembled in India, the latter will be sold via the CBU route. Have a look at their prices below. BMW X7 Launched India At Rs 98.90 Lakh The X7 is BMW’s first attempt at building an SUV of this size. The X7 is based on the same CLAR platform that underpins the 7 Series and 5 Series sedans. The design is similar to that of the 7 Series facelift, with front grille being even larger in the SUV. The X7 will command road presence unlike any other SUV and like its primary rival, the Mercedes-Benz GLS, it is a seven-seater with three rows of seats. The xDrive30d DPE Signature variant is powered by a 3.0-litre, 6-cylinder diesel engine that churns out 265PS of max power and 620Nm of peak torque. The xDrive 40i uses a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol, 6-cylinder engine that dishes out 340PS of max power and 450N of peak torque. The diesel X7 can sprint from 0-100kmph in 7 seconds while the petrol version can reach the same milestone in just 6.1 seconds. Both variants use an 8-speed automatic transmission and also come equipped with BMW’s all-wheel-drive (xDrive) system. BMW’s biggest SUV gets features like BMW Live Cockpit Professional, adaptive air suspension on both axles, two 10.2-inch full HD screens in the second row that respond to touch inputs, a 16-speaker Harmon Kardon music system, a panoramic sunroof, Parking Assistant Plus with Surround View Camera (automatically parks in tight places), a Reversing Assistant that keep a record of the last 50 metres driven, six airbags as well as Dynamic Stability Control (DSC) that includes Corner Braking Control (CBC).
