Bihar Bureaucrat Caught On Camera Abusing Junior Officers, Minister Assures Action

Bihar Administrative Services Association also condemned that act and demanded action against the bureaucrat. 

New Delhi: A video of a bureaucrat in Bihar has gone viral on social media allegedly for abusing his junior officers after which the state excise minister assured action. Bihar Excise Principal Secretary KK Pathak was caught on tape using abusive language after which the video was widely shared on social media. 

Reacting to the video, Bihar Excise Minister Sunil Kumar said that he has heard about the video and would take necessary action. “I've heard about the video. I will look into it and whatever necessary action needs to be taken will be done,” the minister said.

Bihar Administrative Services Association also condemned that act and demanded action against the bureaucrat. 

“We demand the government to sack such an officer. We have decided to register an FIR against him. He used abusive words for us which is wrong. We condemn it,” said Sunil Tiwari, General Secretary Bihar Administrative Services Association. 

As per a report by Hindustan Times, KK Pathak is a 1990-batch IAS officer known for his strictness. Originally from UP, Pathak was brought back to Bihar from his Delhi posting in 2015 when the alliance formed the government in Bihar. He was given the excise department posting again in 2021.
