Top 5 New Cars That You Need To Put Your Money On
Here we list out five new cars that you should put your money on this festive season.
The festive season is approaching and while needless to say, this time celebrations would be muted, the car market is gearing up with a record number of new car launches coming in. The Corona crisis has made many look away from public transport or shared mobility hence new car sales are actually expected to grow. Here we list out five new cars that you should put your money on this festive season.
Kia Sonet
Kia is in the mood to continue its successful formula with the Sonet. The Sonet is one of the most eagerly awaited new SUVs and would be coming on the 18th September. It has pretty much everything you can want from a compact SUV and then some. Headline talk is the long feature list and extensive amount of options in terms of engines or gearbox configurations. It would be launched with no less than two petrol and one diesel while being the only one to offer four different types of gearbox options including an iMT for the 1.0 turbo and a DCT plus even a 6-speed automatic for the diesel.
New Hyundai i20
Shortly after Kia launches its Sonet, sister company Hyundai will launch the i20 in a brand new avatar. The new i20 is coming around November and is not sharing anything from the current model. Bigger, better, safer and more spacious, the new i20 would have even more features than the Venue. It would certainly give the current players in the premium hatch space a tough competition. We expect turbo petrol engines and a DCT automatic plus equipment not seen on a hatch before. While it would be pricier, the new i20 would be the most luxurious hatchback.
New Mahindra Thar
The new Thar is one SUV that everyone is waiting with bated breath. In-fact no other new car has this much buzz and interest. The reason is clear as the new Thar has heritage, off-road performance and a look which is unlike any other SUV. Nothing matches the Thar for presence and now the new model is a lot more spacious, luxurious and just as capable as before off-road. For the first time the new Thar also gives you a choice of an automatic and manual with even a petrol engine on offer. No wonder the new Thar has so much curiosity and hype around this. We will know its prices by 2nd October. Also stay tuned for our review here in the coming days.
Tata HBX
The HBX was one of the Auto Expo stars but it is no concept that will never make it to production as it is real and indeed coming to showrooms, end of this year. The HBX would be an SUV smaller than the Nexon with also the possibility of being one of the most affordable SUVs. It also looks near identical to the concept with aggressive styling. It would be launched with a petrol engine most probably and a manual at the start. The HBX would be the entry level SUV and will expand the SUV portfolio for Tata Motors.
New Maruti Celerio
Maruti has kept quiet this year save for some facelift launches but the big launch this year is yet to come in the form of the new generation Celerio. The new Celerio would be based on the new Maruti platform and that would give it more space. It would also be bigger and more premium like. Plus unlike the current model, you will be having more engine options and also getting to choose an AMT with both. A touchscreen and latest features would bring the latest new Maruti hatch up-to date. With the current times making people discouraged to use shared mobility, the arrival of a new affordable hatchback would be good news.
