BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine To Launch On January 21

Gran Limousine launch: This is the first time that BMW will be offering a long wheelbase version of the 3 Series in India.

New Delhi: BMW India will expand its sedan line-up with the launch of the 3 Series Gran Limousine on the 21st of January next year. This also shows the importance of the Indian market for BMW since this is a car which makes sense for India as this is a 3 Series with a longer wheelbase. Most luxury car buyers are chauffeur driven yet no other car in this segment offers a long wheelbase which the 3 Series Gran Limousine will. This is the first time that BMW will be offering a long wheelbase version of the 3 Series in India. India is also the first market to get this in the right hand drive model specification. Compared to the current 3 Series sold in India, the new one is longer and is also having a much longer wheelbase which increases rear legroom considerably. There is nearly 50mm of extra rear legroom for rear passengers and even the rear seat is improved while equipment levels would be increased to make it different from the standard 3 series. There would be a lot of space and three passengers would be seated very comfortably- something which no other car currently offers in this segment. We are expecting more luxury oriented features as the focus of the car would be for the rear seat passenger and not the driver like in the regular 3 Series. BMW 3 Series Gran Limousine To Launch On January 21 The engines would be shared with the 3 Series including the diesel and petrol motors while the prices will increase but on account of the changes, it seems good value. BMW will position it above the 3 Series sedan and below the 5 Series. Currently the only other such long wheelbase model is the E-Class from Mercedes but that is in a segment above.
