Air India Express Flight To Dammam Diverted To Thiruvananthapuram Due To Technical Glitches
The flight had 168 passengers onboard.
Chennai: Air India Express flight from Calicut to Dammam in Saudi Arabia diverted to Thiruvananthapuram due to technical issues on Friday.
According to ANI, Airline spokesperson said, “Kerala | Air India Express flight from Calicut to Dammam in Saudi Arabia with 168 passengers onboard diverted to Thiruvananthapuram made due to technical issues."

Air India Express said, "Arrangements are being made to send the passengers to Dammam by an alternate flight which is scheduled to take off from Thiruvananthapuram at 15.30 hours today."
The flight developed a snag in its hydraulic systems. Later, the flight en route to Dammam was given permission to land at the international airport here around 12.15 pm.
All the crew of the passengers is safe.
The Thiruvananthapuram international airport had called in all the emergency services and after the captain of the aircraft was asked to dump the fuel, it was done and then landed safely.
Airport Authority of India officials termed it an "emergency landing" and not a crash landing.
Initially, the authorities had decided that the aircraft would land at the Cochin international airport, but later changed it to Thiruvananthapuram.
The airline authorities will now make arrangements for the onward travel of the passengers.
