2018 Evoque, Discovery Sport Launched; Get More Powerful Petrol Engine

The 2.0-litre petrol engine makes 250PS of maximum power coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission

Land Rover has launched the 2018 models of the Evoque and Discovery Sport in India. Prices for the two start at Rs 49.20 lakh and Rs 51.06 lakh (both prices ex-showroom pan-india), respectively. Both the SUVs are available in two variants: SE and HSE. With the update, the British carmaker has equipped both with a new 2.0-litre Ingenium petrol engine that makes 250PS of maximum power, coupled to an 8-speed automatic transmission. The Evoque and the Discovery Sport are the fourth and fifth cars from JLR group to receive this engine, after the Jaguar XE, XF and the Range Rover Velar. 25th May 2018, Mumbai: Jaguar Land Rover India today announced the launch of the Ingenium petrol powertrain equipped Model Year 2018 Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque. The Ingenium powertrain delivers exceptional performance, efficiency and refinement while meeting the most stringent global emissions regulations. The 2.0 l motor on the Model Year 2018 Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque produces 184 kW of peak power and is mated to an 8-speed Automatic Transmission.

The Ingenium petrol powertrain equipped Model Year 2018 Discovery Sport is offered in SE and HSE trim and is priced from ₹ 49.20 Lakh. On the Range Rover Evoque, the Ingenium petrol powertrain is offered on the SE and HSE Dynamic trim and is priced from ₹ 51.06 Lakh.

The Model Year 2018 Discovery Sport and Range Rover Evoque feature Wi-Fi Hotspot (with 4G access to up to eight devices) and Pro Services. InControl-Pro Services gets key features like The Route Planner App, Commute Mode and Sharing ETA (expected time of arrival).
