17-year-old-girl sexually assaulted by friend, associates

New Delhi: A 17-year-old girl was allegedly sexually assaulted by a group of persons, including her minor friend, who offered her a lift from outside her school in north-east Delhi's Bhajanpura area and then took her to an apartment in Noida. In her complaint, the girl told police that the incident took place on March 31 but she initially did not disclose it to anyone as the accused had allegedly video-recorded the act and threatened her with dire consequences if she reported the matter, a senior police official said today. On March 31, as she was returning from school, her teenage friend offered her a lift in his car and later some men joined, who allegedly forced her to come with them to a flat in Noida and forced themselves upon her. A case has been registered on the basis of the girl's complaint and some persons have been detained for questioning, the official added.
