Dhadak: 'Qubool Hai' actress Shalini Kapoor plays Janhvi Kapoor's mother; Says "she's a dedicated actor"

In 'Dhadak', Janhvi's mother's role is played by the TV actress who's known for hit shows like 'Qubool Hai' and 'Swaragini - Jodein Rishton Ke Sur'

Veteran actress Sridevi's daughter Janhvi Kapoor, and Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter are currently working on their Bollywood debut film 'Dhadak' which the hind remake of marathi hit film 'Sairat'.

Shalini is the elder sister of Malini Kapoor who's famous for TV shows like 'Balika Vadhu' and 'Adaalat'

"I am playing Janhvi Kapoor's mom. She is a traditional and sophisticated Rajasthani lady. I am absolutely elated to work with (filmmaker Karan Johar's) Dharma Productions as it's every actor's dream. It's my comeback in films as post-marriage, I had started doing only serials," Shalini said in a statement to IANS.

Seen also in Life OK's popular show 'Devon Ke Dev Mahadev, Shalini added- "I have been a mom to a lot of new actors and actresses on TV and by the grace of God they all have made it big. Hope the magic continues. Janhvi is a sweetheart and very loving and a dedicated actor too".
