Savi Review: In the realm of Indian cinema, stories of strong women have always resonated with audiences. Savi, starring Divya Khosla Kumar, Anil Kapoor, and Harshvardhan Rane, is one such film.

Plot

What can a wife do? The legend of Savitri saving her husband from Yama (the god of death) is well known, but what can a modern Savitri accomplish? This film explores that very question. In this contemporary retelling, Savitri becomes Savi, played by Divya Khosla Kumar, who proves once again after "Yaariyan 2" that she has evolved into a capable actress who Bollywood should take seriously. Given the right roles, she could outperform many of today's leading actresses.

The story is adapted from the 2010 American action thriller 'The Next Three Days,' which itself is a remake of the 2008 French thriller 'Pour Elle.' Set in Liverpool, London, it follows Savi, who lives a happy life with her husband Nakul Sachdeva, and their son. Their peaceful life is shattered when the police arrest Nakul. This modern Savitri then embarks on a mission to prove her husband's innocence. She is aided by Mr. Paul, played by Anil Kapoor. As Savi races against time, she must navigate the treacherous world of criminals, uncover hidden truths, and even risk her own life to save her beloved. The film unfolds the thrilling journey of how Savi saves her husband.
