Sarfira review: When a film makes you tear up, it means it has touched your heart. When it makes you cry repeatedly, it means it has touched your heart over and over again. Watching 'Sarfiira,' I found myself getting emotional, and as I looked around, I saw many people dabbing their eyes with handkerchiefs. The film was promoted with great confidence before its release, and it quickly became clear that it was more than just good; it was spectacular. Akshay Kumar is in top form, and this film shakes you, showcases the power of the common man, and leaves you deeply motivated.
Sarfira plot
'Sarfiira' is the story of a common man's dream to soar in the skies and make air travel accessible to the average person. This film is a remake of the Tamil movie 'Soorarai Pottru' and is inspired by the life of Simplify Deccan's founder, G. R. Gopinath. The plot revolves around a visionary who dreamed that the common man could fly at the cost of a train ticket and even secure a flight ticket for just one rupee. Although the original was released during the COVID-19 pandemic, this story deserves to be experienced in theaters, illustrating how air travel was forever changed and the dreams of ordinary people were given wings.
How is Sarfira
'Sarfiira' is an exceptional film that captivates you from the beginning. It's filled with twists and turns; just when you think everything is fine, a new twist appears. Akshay's scenes with his family are particularly emotional, and the film continually surprises, moves, and entertains you. There isn't a single moment where you feel like checking your phone or stepping out. The film beautifully portrays the strength of the common man and provides ample motivation for life. It's a clean film, suitable for the entire family to watch together.
Acting
After a long time, Akshay Kumar delivers a role that deeply resonates. He makes you cry, assures you that nothing is impossible, and his expressions are exceptional throughout. Whether it's his determination to never give up or the helplessness of not having enough money for a flight ticket to see his sick father, Akshay portrays this character with intense passion. His hard work shines through. Radhika Madan's career will undoubtedly change after this film; her performance is outstanding. Facing a superstar like Akshay, her confidence is commendable. Whether it's the proposal scene or when she presents a business proposal to Akshay, her conviction in the role is astounding. Paresh Rawal does a good job, although he deserves more screen time. Seema Biswas brings life to the role of Akshay's mother, and the rest of the cast performs brilliantly, with Suriya's cameo also winning hearts.
Direction
Directed by Sudha Kongara, who also helmed the original film, 'Sarfiira' is shot on real locations, not sets. Sudha's grip on the film is exceptional. She has reimagined the remake in a unique mold and created it beautifully.
Music
The music by G. V. Prakash Kumar, Tanishk Bagchi, and Suhit Abhyankar is soul-stirring. Manoj Muntashir has penned some excellent songs, and the background score by G. V. Prakash Kumar is also commendable.
'Sarfiira' is not just a film; it's an experience that touches your heart, inspires you, and showcases the incredible power of dreams. Don't miss it!
