Two stolen cars found on Olx within a month

New Delhi: What seemed like a rather rare incident last time, may not have come as much of a shock to Shalimar Bagh resident Babu who spotted his stolen SUV on OLX while browsing at an internet cafe. Babu was certain that the Tata Safari was his because all the details right from the color to an idol matched. The last time an incident of such a sort happened was last month, when Kulwant Singh, a resident of Noida came across an advertisement on OLX, where his stolen Honda City was up for sale. While the police were still looking for the main accused Zulfikar in Singh's case, a strategy chalked out by the Anti-Theft Squad of the North-West district led Babu to Zaved Ali- a member of the Ishtiyak-Israr gang based in Meerut. Zaved Ali revealed that Israr used to steal the cars from Delhi-NCR and would tamper with the engine number and chassis number of the stolen car. Istiyak Ali was recently arrested while he had come to steal a car in the capital.
