We all have heard of digital payment methods and most of us have been using them in our day-to-day lives. But, this seems surreal! From scanning QR codes to a QR code mehendi- digitisation has indeed taken over on a whole new level. On the occasion of Raksha Bandhan, a video of an artist intricately painting a QR code onto a woman's hand as a mehendi pattern has gone viral owing to the modern touch given to this age-old tradition.

This one-of-a-kind Mehendi design, created specifically for the Rakhi festival indeed adds a digital twist to the traditional practice of tying the sacred thread and exchanging gifts between siblings. But, hold on... it's not just limited to the design!

The short video shows a man (her brother) scanning her hand with mehendi art with an iPhone. Initially, he does not appear to believe that something like this is possible. The captivating video, posted on Instagram by Mehendi artist Yash, has gained widespread attention for its seamless fusion of artistic skill, cultural tradition, and technological innovation. The idea's novelty and ability to harmonise disparate elements into a single, visually captivating representation enthralled viewers and users were initially taken aback by the talent of the mehendi artist who drew the QR-code-like design on the woman's hand.

However, upon closer inspection, some details emerged. The person using the mobile device in the video is not scanning a genuine QR code; instead, a video is seen playing on the woman's brother's phone, where the code is already visible.

Taking to the comments section, a user wrote, "Trust me I thought technology m yeh agaya😂😂 bht then reading caption makes me fine."

The video was shared with the caption, "Empower your transactions with the safety and security of @paytm @paytmtravel @paytmmoney @paytmbank Your trusted partner for seamless and worry-free payments."

Scolling down further, he unveiled the secret in the caption saying, "It’s just a content i edit this payment transaction screen recording with my mehndi video to make it real but may be mehndi QR code can not be use for payments. It’s just for fun."
