The highly anticipated Miss Universe 2023 pageant will take place on January 14, 2023, in New Orleans. On the day of the event, our very own Miss Universe, Harnaaz Sandhu, will crown the new Miss Universe. Miss Universe India Divita Rai will be one of 86 women competing for the title in the 71st Miss Universe pageant.
When And Where To Watch The Event:
This year's hosts will be Miss Universe 2012 Olivia Culpo and 'The Real' star Jeannine Mai Jenkins, while Miss Universe 2018 Catriona Gray and 'Access Hollywood' contributor Zuri Hall, who previously hosted the two Miss USA pageants, will provide the backstage commentary. Big Freedia and Big Sam's Funky Nation, two musical groups from New Orleans, as well as the violin playing of American violinist Amanda Shaw and appearances by Yolanda Adams and Tank and the Bangas, will all be featured in the show.
Miss Universe 2023 will be held on Sunday morning, January 15, at 6:30 a.m., according to Indian Standard Time. The beauty contest will take place on Saturday, January 14, at 8 p.m. Eastern Time.
The performance will be streamed from the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center in New Orleans, Louisiana, and viewers in India can watch the live stream on Voot, which is owned by VIACOM 18, or on the JKN18 channel's official Facebook and YouTube pages. Outside of India, viewers can watch the live stream for free at 7 p.m. ET on the Roku Channel website or in Spanish at the same time on Telemundo.
On January 18, 2023, at 10 p.m. ET, the Miss Universe YouTube channel will stream the national costume competition.
Who Will Represent India In The 2023 Miss Universe Pageant?
The prestigious Miss Universe pageant will hold its 71st edition on January 14, featuring more than 80 delegates from throughout the world. Divita Rai, a Karnataka native, is the country's current Miss Universe 2023 representative.
Miss Universe Harnaaz Sandhu, who won the title for India in December 2021, will crown Miss Diva Universe Divita Rai if she wins.
Divita Rai was born in Mangalore and currently resides in Mumbai. The 25-year-old attended Mumbai's Sir JJ College of Architecture. She works as a model and architect and enjoys activities such as badminton, basketball, painting, listening to music, and reading.
Rai was crowned Miss Diva Universe 2022 by outgoing titleholder Harnaaz Sandhu at the Miss Diva Organization's 10th-anniversary ceremony on August 22, 2022. She also competed in the 2021 Miss Diva Universe pageant, which Harnaaz Sandhu won, and placed as Miss Diva's second runner-up.

R'Bonney Gabriel, 28, is an environmentalist who works as a model, fashion designer, and sewing instructor. She is also the first Filipino-American woman to be crowned Miss USA.
