Holi 2022 Gujiya Recipe: The festival of Holi seems incomplete without gujiyas. Though many types of dishes are made on Holi, gujiyas are one of the sweets made in most households during Holi. The gujiyas made with mawa are delicious and can be made at home as per sweetness preference. Today, we are telling you the recipe for making gujiyas with mawa.
Ingredients Required To Make Gujiya
- Maida - 2 cups
- Mawa- 250 g
- Powdered sugar or bura - 1 cup
- Cardamom - 1 tsp crushed
- Almonds - 8-10 chopped
- Raisins - 8-10
- Cashews - 8-10
- Chironji - 15-20
- Ghee - 300 gms
Recipe For Making Gujiya-
1- To make gujiya, first of all, fry the mawa in a pan till it is golden.
2- When the mawa cools down, add sugar, cashews, almonds, raisins, and cardamom powder to it.
3- Now add a pot of maida and add 5 tsp ghee to it and mix.
4- Now knead it with water like soft dough and cover it with a cloth for 20 minutes.
5- After this, make small balls of dough.
6- Now roll the dough balls into pooris. Do not use dry flour while making pooris.
7- Now place the poori in the gujiya maker and fill 1 tablespoon mawa stuffing in the middle.
8- Now close the gujiya mould by pressing it well. You can apply water at the edges of the mold when you close it.
9- In this way, you can make all the gujiyas and cover all the gujiyas with a cloth or pot.
10- Now heat ghee to fry gujiya in the pan on medium flame.
11- When the ghee is hot, add 2-3 gujiyas and fry till golden on a low flame.
12- Mawa gujiya is ready. You can put them in a container and store them. You can easily eat them for a week.
