Things To Keep In Mind While Performing Maa Lakshmi Pujan On Diwali Night
According to Sidhharrth S Kumaar, an Astro Numerologist following things should be taken into consideration while performing Maa Lakshmi Pujan on Diwali Night:
Prior To The Puja:
- Properly clean the puja space and sprinkle ganga jal (holy water from Ganga) mixed with rose water
- Decorate the place with toran made up of mango leaves, flower and make a rangoli
While Setting Up The Puja:
Make an AshtDal Kamal with Ashtgandha on a silver/brass utensil and keep the idol of goddess Laxmi and Ganesh on it
While Setting Up The Kalash:
Take a copper pot and fill it with water (mixed with ganga jal) up to the neck of the utensil. In the water, put some coins, place mango leaves in a circular pattern at the top of the pot and place coconut on the top.
Panchamrit Abhishek Of Idols:
Bath the idols in pure water, gangajal, rose water, sandal water, and Panchamrit. At last, bathe again with pure water. Post which, place the idols at suitable place
While Performing The Puja:
- Start your puja by worshiping lord Ganesh. Also seek blessings of kuldevi, kuldevta and Isht.
- Then worship, goddess Lakshmi.
- Alongside the worship of goddess Lakshmi and ganesh, do not forget to worship Bhagwaan Vishnu and Kuber.
- Sing aarati and distribute prasad in family and near ones.
