Dhanteras 2021 Shopping: The auspicious occasion of Dhanteras, ahead of Diwali, is of great importance. It is celebrated every year on the Triyodashi of the Krishna paksh of Kartik month. On this day Lord Dhanwantari, Goddess Laxmi and Lord Kuber are worshipped.

To mark this day, something made of gold, silver, steel or brass is bought by worshippers and it is considered auspicious. This increases happiness, wealth and prosperity at home.

This year Dhanteras is being celebrated on Tuesday, November 2, 2021. But, on this auspicious day, there are some things that you should avoid buying. It can destroy your wealth and bring poverty. So let us tell you about the things you should avoid buying on Dhanteras day. 

Avoid Buying Black Things: On Dhanteras day, we should never try to buy anything black in colour. Black is a symbol of inauspiciousness. It brings hardship to the house. In such a situation, things like black clothes, black food items like sesame etc. should not be purchased at all. Instead, you can buy recommended colours like red and yellow.

Do Not Buy Glass Items: On Dhanteras day, you should try not to buy any glass items. Avoid buying ceramic items as well on the Dhanteras. It is believed that things made of glass are related to 'Rahu'. It eliminates the happiness, peace and wealth of the family. It also leads to problems in the house. So avoid buying any kind of ceramic and glass items on Dhanteras day.  

Do Not Buy Plastic Items: Astrologers recommend that no plastic should be purchased on Dhanteras. Buying plastic is considered ominous on Dhanteras day. Buying plastic items on Dhanteras day reduces stability and leads to wealth wastage.

Avoid Buying Iron: According to astrology, iron is considered to be the factor of Saturn. In such a situation, it is inauspicious to buy this on the auspicious occasion of Dhanteras.
