Karnataka Govt Suspends CESCom MD C.N. Sridhar For Glitch During CM Siddaramaiah's Event

The action comes after a malfunction when Chief Minister Siddaramaiah tried to inaugurate a project to fill 150 lakes from the Cauvery River in Muttina Mullusoge village by pressing a button.

Karnataka government ordered the suspension of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESCom) Managing Director C.N. Sridhar on Thursday. The action came in the wake of alleged dereliction of duty during an event attended by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah in Mysuru district.

The event, which was crucial for the state's water management, involved the Chief Minister inaugurating a project to fill 150 lakes from the Cauvery river in Muttina Mullusoge village by pressing a button. However, a critical malfunction occurred when the Chief Minister pressed the button. Adding to the controversy, C.N. Sridhar was absent from the event. 

According to ANI, Karnataka Government orders the suspension of Chamundeshwari Electricity Supply Corporation (CESCom) MD C.N. Sridhar. This comes in the background of dereliction of duty during an event of CM Siddaramaiah. The CM had launched a program to fill 150 lakes from the Cauvery river in Muttina Mullusoge village of Periyapattana taluk of Mysuru district. The CM was scheduled to start the project by pressing a button. However, when he pressed the button, it did not work. C.N. Sridhar was also absent from the event.
