PM Modi To Visit Karnataka On March 12, Lay Foundation Stone For Projects Worth Rs 16,000 Crore

PM Modi will dedicate to the nation the longest railway platform in the world at Sri Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Karnataka on March 12 and dedicate and lay the foundation stones of projects worth around Rs 16,000 crores. The PM will lay the foundation stones for key road projects in Mandya and various development initiatives in Hubbali-Dharwad, the prime minister's office (PMO) said.

The PMO said that the Prime Minister will dedicate the Bengaluru-Mysuru Expressway to the nation. The project involves widening NH 275 to six lanes through the Bengaluru-Nidaghatta-Mysuru segment. The 118-km long project has been developed at a total cost of around Rs 8480 crores.

The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for Mysuru-Khushalnagar's 4-lane highway. The project, which spans 92 km, would be developed for about Rs 4130 crores. PM Modi will dedicate to the nation the longest railway platform in the world at Sri Siddharoodha Swamiji Hubballi Station. The record has been recognized by the Guinness Book of World Records recently. The 1507-meter-long platform has been built at a cost of about Rs 20 crores.

Modi will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various projects of the Hubballi-Dharwad smart city. The total estimated cost of these projects is about Rs. 520 crores. By building clean, secure, and useful public places, these initiatives will improve the quality of life and transform the town into a cutting-edge urban hub. Modi would also dedicate the redeveloped Hosapete station, which has been developed to resemble the Hampi monuments.

The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone for the Dharwad Multi Village Water Supply Scheme, which will be developed at a cost of over Rs. 1040 crores. He will also lay the foundation stone for the Tupparihalla Flood Damage Control Project, which will be developed at a cost of about Rs. 150 crores. The project aims to reduce damage caused by floods and involves the construction of retaining walls and embankments.

Modi would also dedicate the redeveloped Hosapete station, which has been developed to resemble the Hampi monuments.
