Lokayukta Police Arrests Aided School Convenor For Taking Rs 5 Lakh Bribe In Mangaluru

An aided school convener was nabbed by Lokayukta Police in Mangaluru, for allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakhs.

The Lokayukta Police has arrested an aided school convener, Jyothi Poojary while she was allegedly taking a bribe of Rs 5 lakhs. The school is located in Bajpe, on the outskirts of Mangaluru. 

Shobha Rani, a retired teacher of the same school, had requested Jyothi Poojary to sign her pension documents and send them to the regional education officer for approval. But Poojary allegedly demanded Rs 5 lakhs as a bribe, news agency ANI reported.
