Karnataka: BJP Worker Praveen Nettaru's Murder Case To Be Transferred To NIA
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, since it is an inter-state matter, the case is being handed over to the NIA.
Bengaluru: After two murders have been reported in a week in Karnataka, CM Bommai’s government has decided to transfer case of the death of a BJP worker Praveen Nettaru to National Investigation Agency (NIA). On Friday, Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai said, the Karnataka government will hand over BJP Yuva Morcha Worker Praveen Kumar Nettare’s murder case to NIA.
After chairing a high-level meeting with top police officers in Bengaluru, the Chief Minister said, "The murder case has a connection with the neighboring Kerala. As it is an inter-state matter, the case is being handed over to the NIA.”
The CM said, “I have discussed the case with the DGP. There is suspicion of it being an organised crime with involvement of people from the other states."
"After gathering inputs, we will write a letter to the Kerala government. CCTV cameras will be installed at the border areas of Karnataka and Kerala in the coastal region. The platoons of Karnataka State Reserve Police (KSRP) would be sent to various towns of Dakshina Kannada district to maintain peace," he said.

The police have imposed orders to monitor sensitive regions and avoid any untoward event.
The police have also formed special teams to crack the case of Mohammed Fazil Mangalpet who was murdered on Thursday in Surathkal town. After his death, section 144 was imposed in parts of Dakshina Kannada district to avoid any untoward incidents.

On the death of Fazil, CM said that the investigation into the case is heading in the right direction. He also said that a meeting of religious leaders of the Dakshina Kannada district will be convened to ensure peace and harmony.
