Bengaluru: Narrow Escape For 2 Families As Part Of Building Collapses After Rain
The BBMP has demolished the building on Wednesday
Chennai: Yet another building has tilted in Bengaluru on Tuesday night following which the residents from the building in Kamala Nagar were evacuated. Two families had a narrow escape when the safety wall and foundation of the building collapsed at Mahalakshmi Layout Vidhan Sabha Constituency in Vrushabavathi, said Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike.
As soon as the family heard the sound and felt tremors, they left the building, stated the BBMP. "The building's safety wall and foundation collapsed at 10 PM pm Tuesday night," informed the BBMP, as quoted by news agency ANI.

The BBMP has started to demolish the building on Wednesday. Mahalakshmi Layout's BJP MLA K Gopalaiah visited the spot along with BBMP Commissioner Gaurav Gupta, according to the news agency.
This is the fourth building to have collapsed in the last two weeks within the limits of the BBMP.
