Amid Revanna Row, Karnataka BJP Alleges 'Love Jihad Conspiracy' Under Siddaramaiah Govt

Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra claimed that more than 15 murders have occurred in Karnataka in the past 15-20 days.

Amid controversy surrounding Prajwal Revanna's obscene video case, Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra alleged a conspiracy and expressed concern over the increasing incidents of 'love jihad' and daylight murders in Karnataka. He criticised the Congress government for not taking the issue seriously and alleged the deteriorating law and order situation in the state. He claimed that more than 15 murders have occurred in Karnataka in the past 15-20 days.

Karnataka BJP President BY Vijayendra said, "A big conspiracy is going on in Karnataka also. We have been hearing thousands of cases of 'love jihad' in Kerala but, it's surprising and shocking to see the number of such cases appearing in Karnataka in the last couple of months."

"There are so many love-Jihad cases and daylight murders in Karnataka shows the deteriorating law and order situation in the state, but the Congress govt is not at all serious about the issue."

Vijayendra urged the Chief Minister to address the issue impartially. He said, "It's not just the BJP, the common man is talking about this issue. In the last 15-20 days, more than 15 murders have taken place in Karnataka. The murderers are thinking of Karnataka as a safe haven. The CM should think that he is not only the CM of the Muslims..."

Till now, the BJP has been dubbing the murder of Neha Hiremath as a case of love jihad. However, the government said that the claim was false.
