Covid Update: India Logs 13,216 Fresh Cases, 23 Fatalities In Last 24 Hrs. Active Caseload Jumps To 68,108
India has registered above 13,000 cases for the first time in 113 days.
New Delhi: India's COVID-19 total grew to 4,32,83,793 on Saturday, as 13,216 additional persons tested positive for the viral illness and the active caseload increased to 68,108, according to the data released by Union Health Ministry, news agency PTI reported.

The death toll rose to 5,24,840 with 23 more fatalities, according to figures updated at 8 a.m.
Active cases account for 0.16 percent of all infections. According to the government, the national COVID-19 recovery percentage is 98.63%.
In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has increased by 5,045 cases.
According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 2.73 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 2.47 percent.
The total number of patients who have recovered from the sickness has increased to 4,26,90,845. According to the report, the case fatality rate was 1.21 percent.
The total number of COVID vaccine doses provided in the country under the universal immunisation effort has surpassed 196 crore.
On August 7, 2020, India's COVID-19 tally surpassed 20 lakh, 30 lakh on August 23, 40 lakh on September 5, and 50 lakh on September 16. It reached 60 lakh on September 28, 70 lakh on October 11, 80 lakh on October 29, 90 lakh on November 20, and one crore on December 19.
This year, India passed the grim milestone of 2 crore on May 4, 3 crore on June 23, and 4 crore on January 25.
